Both SUVs cut a confident image with a range of eye-popping exterior colour options, though the RAV4 goes the extra mile with up to 15 available. The CX-5 brings a seamless sense of style by featuring its body colour on such elements as its wheel arches, rocker trim, and front and rear bumpers, but the RAV4 brings a more practical mind to its design sophistication, incorporating a long wheelbase and wide track for increased stability, along with short overhangs and high ground clearance for more versatile terrain management, making you feel as confident as it looks. 

Raw Power

Though the Mazda CX-5 comes equipped with the strength to tow slightly more, the Toyota RAV4 delivers more consistent victories in its transmission, horsepower, maximum cargo space, and much better fuel economy, ultimately saving you money while also sparing the earth. The Mazda CX-5 is a fierce competitor, but the Toyota RAV4 is also powered by a similar 2.5L 4-Cylinder engine and ultimately does more with it, making it the far better investment with performance that takes you further. 

Safety and Technology

Toyota’s 2025 RAV4 comes equipped with Toyota’s trademarked SafetySense technology, including such helpful features as Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Road Sign Assist, Automatic High Beams, and more, much the same as Mazda’s i-Activesense. A highlight of Toyota’s SafetySense, however, is its Pre-Collision Detection, intended to sense vehicles and pedestrians around the vehicle in daytime and low-light situations. SafetySense encourages a more proactive approach to driver safety and assistance, focusing its efforts on helping you make the important decisions behind the wheel instead of just alerting you to potential danger.
